Xander sighed softly as he finally made his way into the pet shop. He was getting mighty sick of this place already! No offense to anyone of course. It was just that all the whispers and comments were getting to him. Major like. It would work out that soon after they all got here, that someone gets killed. Of course it happens like that! It always happens like this! Why? Because karma is a bitch like that! Now all the long standing residents were whispering things behind their backs. Talking about the "crazies" and all that shit. whatever. Xander just ignored most of it (or at least he tried to). Walked away with an oh so slightly forced smile and without a care in the world. Yeah right and he was the CEO of Coca-Cola. He would be lying if he said it wasn't getting to him. Hell it was burning into him like a wildfire into dry scrub brush. These kids were not crazy...well not in the murder you sense. Sure they had some issues, but they had common sense too! Or at least he'd like to think they did. Oh who did it bother? These people had no right to jump to conclusions like this!

Xander growled softly to himself as he forced himself to stop thinking about it. He just had to stop thinking about it. He could not think about it too much. He just couldn't! It was driving him insane! But he couldn't help but...no--no more. Think about something else you idiot! Like--like...toys! Dog toys if he wanted to be more precise. That was after all why he was here. He was looking for some more tennis balls for Java. But maybe he could get her something else too. Maybe one of those rubber Kong toys. Or perhaps one of the newer stuffing-less toys. Course knowing his luck, the dork of a dog would chew it up and swallow the squeaker. That'd be just what he didn't need! Hmmm there were so many different things you could buy a dog now. He just had to decide which one.

But still...he couldn't get his mind off of things. Why could he not let it go damn it?! But then another part of him asked how could he? He then remembered something all out of the blue...if he wasn't mistaken, then Karl owned the shop. It had been a few weeks since he saw the other. He wondered how he was. Xander was still worried about the other. That day in the class really stuck out in his head. The other had looked terrible! But Xander didn't get the guts to say anything about it. Well that and not to mention that god forsaken scream interrupted things. That wasn't leaving his mind anytime soon either. "Hey Karl! Ya round here man?" Xander called out. He was hoping the other was around. Maybe he'd know what toy Java would like. He'd met the collie before. That and maybe just chatting with someone would actually get his mind off things...cause this was getting ridiculous here!
