I Wanna Watch You Burn (open) Empty I Wanna Watch You Burn (open)

There was nothing that could be done for him now. When the sudden rush of panicking staff sent Hadley into a slight whirlwind he had a sinking feeling that this was the beginning of the end. Why else would the administration be running around like fucking chickens with their heads cut off? Something had gone horribly, horribly wrong. When the suits arrived to tour the facility Clay had done his best to remain out of sight but it wasn’t like it mattered. They’d probably chipped him in his sleep by now and knew exactly where he was on campus at all times. Or maybe there were censors in the floors for heat signatures or some shit. The bottom line was that he wasn’t safe anywhere in this God forsaken place. The air had been ominous after the visit from The Matrix extras and before Clay knew it he was packed up and stuck on a plane bound for God knows where. Perhaps the mother ship was landing elsewhere and they had to get their human specimens across the country as inconspicuously as possible. Clay could sit around and come up with a million reasons why they were being herded like cattle to the other end of the US and in his mind any one of them could be correct. He had no idea what was really going on at Hadley so for all he knew this was a secret society with the goal to turn the troubled youth of America into the first wave of zombies for the apocalypse. And while it would suck to be poked and prodded until he became undead Clay couldn’t help but think that it might be okay. If he was going to go out this young he wanted to at least bite a few people first before he got double tapped. That would be worth it.

However, no horrific side effects had caused flesh to rot and drop off quite yet which was leading him to believe they were either way off the mark on the whole zombie apocalypse thing or that might not be the end goal after all. Disappointing. Whatever was happening, it was likely way less cool and would only serve to make the young pyro even antsier. He’d been twitchy during the entire flight and striking his finger across his palm didn’t help him much. He wanted his fucking matches back. Unfortunately they’d all been confiscated. Fucking TSA and their pedo worthy pat downs. He’d snuck the damn things into a secure mental facility but somehow the sniffers of the airport found them and took them. So he was without a fix and each passing second was causing him more and more agony. It also caused him to require a sleeping pill on the plane or he’d make a scene that no one wanted to deal with. Clay wasn’t getting any better and this relocation would only make it worse.

Clay currently sat in the recreation room of the co-ed center, throwing a tennis ball at the wall from his seat on the couch. Hazel eyes followed the eye searing color of the ball to the floor and up to the wall where it ricocheted back to him. These days he’d been either quiet and down or downright pissy, nine times out of ten it was an unhealthy blend of the two. He couldn’t help but notice that during the move some of the faces he’d come to recognize had gone missing. To Clay this meant one of two things: either the mole people had struck or their families had contacted Hadley and opted to take them out. If it was the former then he still being here was a blessing. If it was the latter, and somehow he found that to be more logical, then he was done. He’d been abandoned. The people he’d called mom and dad for fifteen years had really left him alone. No word had come from time since he was shipped off to Hadley and he could only assume they filed for divorce the next day. It had been over a month now so they were probably living separately. So…why had neither of them tried to talk to him? They may hate each other but Clay had some hope that they at least loved him. Or maybe because he was a product of the two of them that he was a reminder of their hatred. His face twisted with hurt and anger as this started to sink in. He had no friends at Hadley and no family to go home to…He really was alone.

The tennis ball was thrown harder and harder as Clay became angrier and angrier. God, how he wanted a match right now. The image in his head of watching the sparks as he slid the tip over a rough surface did nothing to settle the itch he couldn’t control. In his mind he could see the flame bursting onto the end of the match before settling down into its uniform shape, waiting to either be made bigger or snuffed out. He wanted to hear it, smell it, and feel it’s heat against his skin. Clay’s shoulders had started to shake as sweat began to dampen his brow. God damn it…Something had to burn in here. He needed to burn…something…anything. Fire. Need it. The sound of footsteps in the doorway broke through the mantra in his head and in a explosion of anger and need he turned sharply and heaved the tennis ball at the sound with all the might he could muster. He did not know who was there or if his aim was at all accurate. Clay wasn’t really aiming at whoever was there. He just…he was losing it. He had nothing. No friends, no family, and no fire.

Clay was now standing by the couch, having stood up when he pelted the ball at the newest occupant of the room. He didn’t know he was shaking and that overload tears and built up in his eyes and escaped over the lash line. He didn’t know what to do with himself anymore. He was just…lost.

Having nothing to do and a very strange desire to understand this place , Emily had decided to wander around the facility though even she wasn’t fully sure why as her cult-given instincts were currently screaming at her to return to said room. If she had had a normal upbringing she would have recognised it as boredom and curiosity but she had no concept of that sort of thing. After a few minutes she came across a room where a slight thumping noise could be heard. Emily thought it could be a training room and so she decided to go in. She briefly saw the back of someone’s head before something flew into her face. The ball caught Emily by surprise and for the third time in a week she was knocked down. She grunted in surprise and pain as the ball hit her.

Emily sat stunned for half a second before shaking it off and inspecting the thing that hit her. After a second or two she scanned the room with her typical blank eyes and stopped when she saw the boy. Emily’s eyes narrowed in anger as she picked up the ball and threw it back at him just as hard. Soon after that Emily began to move towards him with the intent of showing him how a real fight is done.

Emily picked up speed after two or three steps and charged towards the couch. Burning anger over the boys sneak attack was currently guiding Emily .I don’t know what that thing you hit me with was She thought as she closed the distance between herself and the boy but it doesn’t really matter as I am going to make to regret it. Once she was close enough to him, she swung a right hook at his face before swinging with a left as well.
