I believe that having lived and worked on a farm for my entire life more than qualifies me for a position as a farmhand. I am accustomed to hard work and long hours. I am physically fit and knowledgable about modern farming practices and technologies.

I don’t think that I ever have “abused” any substances, although I do smoke pot I only do so recreationally in my own home when my time is my own. As a teenager I once drank an entire bottle of vodka and as a result had to have my stomach pumped. I received counselling as well as a fine for underaged drinking and am not inclined to drink at all much less to excess ever again.

Why have you chosen to relocate to Green Ridge Island? Please explain below:
Father recently lost the family farm, looking to relocate and start over somewhere where I can get by relatively unnoticed. I feel that on Green Ridge Island, considering the priorities of most of the residents, this will be more possible than if I were to be the new stranger in the typical small American town.

Green Ridge Island houses a psychiatric rehabilitation hospital, and as such, living and working amongst those with mental health issues would be typical practice. Are you comfortable with this?:
Yes. I don’t tend to take much notice of people, sane or otherwise. Also, and this may not be a very noble motivation, but living amongst patients with mental health issues will hopefully render my own “unique” qualities more invisible.

Finally, please tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up, and what was it like? What were your prior relationships with significant others/family or friends like? What instances have lead to your current choice in career and/or relocation? What events in your life do you feel have shaped who you are today? Include any information you feel that is pertinent about yourself and your situations:
I grew up in Western Pennsylvania on my parent’s farm. Life was simple, I guess. I never really fit in, not really adhering to the standard set by most other girls in that area. When I was a teenager my younger sister was violently assaulted and raped. After that, I became more or less her body guard and my entire family rather withdrew from the outside world. I have only really had one friend, Abbie. But the town seemed to deem our relationship unnatural and Abbie’s parents sent her away while we were still in high school. I have not heard from her since. My mother left my father three years ago, and though the farm was already going down hill by then, her leaving was the catalyst for a quick decline in my father’s motivation and mental stability. He sold the farm in order to send my younger sister to University in Connecticut and bought a small house with what was left over. Living together is unpleasant for the both of us and so I have decided to leave. I am a simple person, I don’t look for trouble or adventure. I am hoping that this move will provide me with the quiet, solitary life I desire.
